Description

Our Omega-3 test offers you an uncomplicated way to analyze your omega-3 index as well as the ratio of omega-6 to omega-9 and a comprehensive fatty acid profile using a dried blood test. Since the majority of the population does not have an optimal supply of omega-3 fatty acids, this self-test will help you to determine your individual status and specifically check your supplementation routine. The evaluation is carried out in ISO-certified laboratories and you receive yours Results within 2 to 3 weeks.

Instructions for use

After registering your kit, our system will guide you through the testing process. The dried blood test is easy to perform and only requires a few droplets of blood from your fingertip. A small, painless stitch is sufficient. Needle or syringe phobias are therefore not an obstacle to the Omega 3 test. Please do not tear off the part with the sample ID and email! You will find the instructions for use in your test kit.

Measure and improve Omega 3

Since the absorption and utilization of omega 3 varies from person to person and depends heavily on diet and the ratio to omega-6, the test offers valuable insights - especially on the omega-3 index and the ratio of EPA to DHA. The results help to adapt nutrition or supplementation specifically and in consultation with specialist staff.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

I am currently taking an Omega 3 supplement. What do I have to consider?

If you want to test your omega-3 levels and are already taking an appropriate supplement, you should pay attention to a few important points in order to get a reliable result:

Long-term use: The Omega-3 Index reflects the levels of EPA and DHA in the cell membranes of your red blood cells. In order for your supplementation to be reflected in this, you should have taken the product regularly for at least 8 to 12 weeks.

No short-term effects: A single capsule or high-fat meal hardly changes the omega-3 value in the blood. So you don't have to stop taking it before the test - provided you've been supplementing for a long time.

Not necessary when sober: Because the test measures longer-term storage values, blood sampling is also possible without prior fasting.

Document supplement details: Omega-3 intake can vary depending on the form (e.g. triglyceride vs. ethyl ester) and quality of the product. It is therefore best to write down the exact dosage and the preparation used - this will make it easier to interpret the result later.

Why should I do an Omega 3 test?

A regular omega-3 test will help you see how your fatty acid profile changes through diet, supplements or lifestyle. Since every person absorbs and utilizes omega-3 differently, simply taking a product says little about the actual level in the body. Only a test shows how well you really are cared for. Repeated measurements - for example every few months - make it clear whether your omega-3 index or the ratio to omega-6 is developing in the desired direction. This gives you clear guidance and allows you to make an informed decision as to whether and how you should adjust your intake.
