Instructions for use
Please carry out the test using the Instructions in Online portal through. An insufficient or contaminated sample can cause your test to fail or be adulterated. We recommend that you Test in the morning before breakfast carry out and the test send it back to the test laboratory on the same day using a return envelope. If you test yourself later in the day, please note that you at least an hour Do not eat anything before taking the sample and only drink water.

What does the test measure and how do the results come about?
This test is a so-called proteomics test and is based on the Analysis of all proteins in a sample. The proteins used for analysis are made from Cheek swab cells extracted and prepared for mass spectrometric measurement using optimized and automated procedures. The subsequent measurement takes place on a mass spectrometer, whereby several quality control measurements are also carried out.
Own bioinformatic algorithms are used for biological classification and functional analysis of the proteome data. The results are presented to our customers as Scores or in the form of individual biomarkers communicated. Each value we consider reflects the structure and connections of molecular pathways, as well as the quality of evidence from scientific publications. This evidence is carefully and hand-selected by experts in applied science and molecular biology.
Should I repeat the test? If yes, when?
Your proteome (all proteins) is constantly changing. If you fine-tune your lifestyle, particularly rapid changes can be expected. This can happen be within two to four weeks of lifestyle adaptation. It therefore only makes sense to do the test again after this period in order to actually confirm the effect. We generally recommend one quarterly repetition of the test in order to make progress sufficiently visible and to also look at data longitudinally.
What makes this test different from other epigenetic tests?
The Epiproteomics test offers a sophisticated analysis of molecular processes that play an important role in the health of the human body. In contrast to existing age tests, it not only offers the biological age and the aging index (Page of Aging), but also a broad molecular classification into the categories of sport and nutrition, as well as novel biomarkers.
Based on the results, you will receive individual recommendations on how you can personally improve in these categories. And at the same time, the test gives you a deep look into your own body and describes the biochemical processes that take place there. With this knowledge, the test enables you to maintain a healthy life and a balanced lifestyle.
Can the test also be used on children?
Our current data situation and evaluations are based on studies of adults. For this reason We do not recommend use on children.
How secure is my data and how is it processed?
All our customers' data is triple secured. First of all, our customers are anonymous to us in the database. Every customer receives one unique ID number. Only with this code can the customer unlock his data and view it in his account. Second All customer data is encrypted throughout the entire data transmission. This means that if someone were to collect our data, it would be both anonymous and encrypted. Third, we store our customers' data on our secure AWS servers. Finally, we work fully compliant with European data protection regulations (GDPR).
What do I have to pay attention to when carrying out the test?
Please take the test using the instructions in the online portal. An insufficient or contaminated sample can cause your test to fail or be adulterated.
We recommend that you take the test in the morning before breakfast carry out. At this point you don't have to wait to take the test because of a previous meal or coffee/tea. You can also send the test back to the test laboratory on the same day using a return envelope. In addition, the epithelial cells of the oral mucosa have experienced the least amount of stimuli at this point in time and allow a meaningful sample. If you are testing later in the day, please make sure you do not eat anything and only drink water for one hour before taking the sample.
I've been sick for the last few days/weeks. Will this affect the test result?
Please only take the test when you feel completely recovered and healthy. Even delayed colds or other illnesses can influence the test and lead to different results.
Does pregnancy or breastfeeding affect the test result?
In fact, there are molecules that are related to your current physical state and are therefore also influenced by pregnancy or the period that follows. We take these characteristics into account in our data analysis. Nevertheless, this data flows are not included in our reports and are not used for any other purpose.
Does it make a difference at what point in the female cycle you test?
For this we have no secure data available yet and are still in an in-house research and development stage. As soon as we can provide reliable information about this,We will publish these results and make them available to the scientific community and share them with our customers.
What do I have to pay attention to when returning goods outside of Germany?
We have examined different lengths of storage of the sample and can assure you that the return journey will not have a significant impact on the results of your sample. Nevertheless, we would like to keep the transport route as short as possible and therefore recommend that you return it quickly.
If you would like to send your sample to us from Switzerland, please note that the shipment will not be sent express and does not have to be cleared through customs. You are not selling your saliva sample to us, but rather using a service that you have already paid for. This is very important for a smooth transaction!
I cannot send the sample directly. Should I store them in the fridge in the meantime?
We recommend the sample to be sent to the test laboratory as quickly as possible. If this is not possible for you, store the sample at room temperature and try to return it in a timely manner.
What happens if my sample is lost in transit?
If your sample is lost in transit, We will be happy to send you a replacement kit free of charge. If you suspect that your sample never arrived, please contact us as soon as possible.
This may occur if you have not heard from us within 4 weeks of returning your sample. If more than 2 samples are lost, we may ask you for an alternative address to which we will send the replacement kit.
