In collaboration with Vilnius University, this test was developed to measure intracellular NAD levels using a dried blood test. Instructions for use

What is the difference between intracellular and extracellular NAD?

A distinction is made between two different types of NAD:

  • Intracellular NAD - as the name suggests, this is located within our cells. The majority of NAD remains inside the cell, where it was originally produced, until it reaches its reaction site. The crucial role of NAD in the intracellular space is best described in the literature.
  • Extracellular NAD - Compared to intracellular NAD, this NAD is found outside the cell in plasma, saliva and others

I am currently taking NAD boosters. What do I have to consider when testing?

In principle, an NAD test should take place before starting supplementation to determine your natural laboratory values. If you have already started supplementing with an NAD booster, you can check the effect using an NAD test. To do this, take the usual dosage of the supplements one last time the day before.
